Is refurbished laptop worth it?

I'm gonna take admission in college this year for CSE. The fees was kinda out of budget for my parents but they considered it anyways, and now im kinda feeling guilty to ask them for a laptop😭😭. So basically im a 3d animator (using blender) and a video editor (after effects, premiere pro etc) so I can't go with a cheap laptop (I mean a cheap laptop is not recommended for a cse student anyways). So I was thinking to buy a refurbished MacBook air (M1 or M2, maybe even M3 if I get a good deal). And I need to use it for at least 4 years till I get a good placement and get a laptop of my own. Ya'll think it's worth it? Consider my budget between 40k to 60k but I might manage for a bit high.
