I found Cassi Joy but she will need her leg amputated.

Today a friend found my 5mo puppy Cassi Joy while she helped me search for both puppies in the corn fields.

Today is day 6 of the puppies being missing. I sadly spent the last week on the wrong side of my property looking for them. So I made a post in a group on FB asking for help finding a drone team or a tracking team. Anything. An absolutely wonderful woman commented asking what part of SW Missouri I lived in as mentioned in the post. I said Butler and she happily offered to come help me by riding her horse in areas it would take me forever to maneuver.

She came today after working an entire shift and rode for probably 2-3 hours in the middle of the day helping me look. She found fresh tracks rather quickly and there was this feeling in the air, I could just tell I was going to find something, maybe just a clue but something.

At 4:19pm she texted me a photo of my Cassi Joy sitting at her feet. Absolutely exhausted and injured.

My mom rushes me over as she was going around asking my neighbors for me while I searched on foot. I get out of the car - while it was still slowing and about ate it. 😬

But then I saw a little black bundle of joy at her horses feet. I screamed “Cassi Girl!” And her head shot around to me so quick! Her ears shot up and when she saw me she took off running. No thought in the world but to get to me. Sadly we all immediately saw she was dragging her front left leg. She wasn’t able to move it and it didn’t hold weight. She was simply dragging it. It didn’t slow her down one bit.

We quickly made my mom’s car into the puppy ambulance and off she went to the vet. I stayed behind and searched more but we sadly couldn’t find Alli today but I don’t •feel• like she’s gone. Idk how to explain it. I’m also hoping it’s not my brain just trying to protect me.

Cassi Joy has no feeling in her front left leg, no movement abilities and it is swollen. She will get it amputated hopefully tomorrow morning but I’m not quite sure yet. She is staying the night at my vet for medication and rehydrating her.

Prayers and good thoughts for her sweet sister, Alli Marie.
