Zidane, Tantalus Thief (Commander)

Hi everyone,
I’ve wanted to build a Commander deck around this card ever since the *Final Fantasy* x *Magic: The Gathering* set came out, but I’ve always held off because it doesn't seem particularly high-performing.
At the same time, I can't bring myself to play strong commanders that I don't actually like. That’s why I’m here: I’d love your help building the most "out-there" list possible for this commander, aiming for a high-end, competitive "Bracket 3" level—since that’s the power level my friends and the players at my LGS use.
Do you think it’s doable?
I’m putting myself in your hands. My initial idea was a list heavy on "blink" effects and creature-swapping to create chaos on the board, though I’m not sure how I’d actually secure the win :D
