Help me figure out what “Old Lovers” reminds me of

Hi! I came across “Old Lovers” (more specifically, the Tom Odell x Lumineers version) and I absolutely loved it.

But I couldn’t shake the feeling that the melody (especially right when it starts) reminds me of another popular nostalgic song. Does anyone else know what it could be? I’ve been thinking about this all week.

My partner said it reminds him of “Here Today” by Paul McCartney, but that’s not the song I’m thinking of.
