Housesit requested I don't consume animal products even though the cat eats meat?

Basically the title - I understand being vegan and not wanting meat etc to touch your utensils I guess. But outlawing your sitter to not use animal products seems insane to me. Especially as you'll be giving the animal meat anyway. Anyone else experienced this? I am obviously not taking the sit as it a wild ask and suggests they will be a bit overbearing. But curious to know if others have experienced this ?
