Is joining a prop trading challenge worth it for someone with a small personal account?

My trading account is slowly growing but it's taking forever because i'm only risking money i can comfortably afford to lose.

Lately i have been looking into prop firms because the idea of accessing more capital sounds appealing, but i'm wondering if it's actually worth it or if the restrictions end up cancelling out the benefits. was joining a prop firm a good decision for those who tried it?
