I’ve returned 4 things this month. I finally figured out the reviews were lying to me in a way I never noticed.

🏆 Buy It For Life

Every product page is designed to hide the one thing that’ll make you regret buying it.

The 4.6 stars are real. The reviews are real. But they’re all answering “did it arrive and turn on?” not “will this specific thing annoy you in 3 weeks?” The dealbreaker is always buried in a single 2-star review on page 4 that nobody reads.

I started manually digging for the worst credible review before every purchase instead of the best one. My return rate basically went to zero. The trade-off is always there.. slow port, weak hinge, doesn’t fit MSI boards, whatever.. it’s just never on the part of the page they want you to look at.

Apparently a dev got tired of this too and built something that does exactly this automatically: surfaces the red flags and the regret before you buy instead of after. Been messing with it and it’s weirdly addictive in a “why doesn’t every store do this” way.

Curious if anyone else shops “worst review first” or am I the paranoid one.
