Interest in a casual LGBTQ+ social group for teachers and people working in education in Galway?

Hi all,

Just putting out a feeler to see if there would be any interest in a casual LGBTQ+ social group for teachers and people working in education around Galway.

I'm thinking very informal - not CPD, not strictly professional networking, and definitely not anything overly organised at the start. More like meeting for coffee, walks, chats, or the odd relaxed social event.

The reason I'm thinking of primary, secondary and third level education professionals working in education specifically is that there can be a nice commonality there.

It might be good to meet other LGBTQ+ people who understand school life, staffrooms, supporting students, being out (or not) at work, and all the little things that come with working in education.

No pressure at all, I'm just curious whether there would be enough interest. If there is, maybe we could start with a small WhatsApp group or that and organise something very low-key, like meeting for a coffee one Saturday.
