P0244 at idle

Troubleshooting

2013 WRX GR, approx 14k miles with current rebuild

Car itself has 240k miles

Type RA short block rebuild machined stock heads, grimmspeed boost controller, Cobb intake + turbo inlet, IAG AOS, pro tuned

So I've been having a very strange, but consistent issue with my car the past couple weeks:

The shop it's currently at has been stumped as to what is causing my car to throw a P0244 code during idle and only when intake temps approach and sit at around 160°F. This can be reproduced 100% of the time.

They've swapped out the MAP and MAF sensors (and some other ones I just can't remember at this moment) to test and my car is still killing itself if it gets too hot.

Just curious if anyone here has ever run into this issue themselves and can provide some insight.

I'm going to take the car to my tuner once other unrelated repairs are completed to have him take a look. He too is perplexed with the symptoms I explained to him over the phone despite trying out his suggestion with swapping the MAP sensor.

Other than the issue stated above, the car runs perfect and has absolutely no issues stretching her legs. I just can't sit at drive-thrus or traffic anymore lol

Bonus note: After hearing what my tuner suggested what the issue may have been and what to look for, I watched the MAP, boost, and intake temps and everytime the temps begin sitting around 160°F I've seen the boost spike to 25psi despite no throttle input and no audible turbo spooling, just purely a sensor glitch.

Thank you all for your time and sorry for the wall of words 😁
