PSA Backlog - Grading through Beckett or waiting?

So I’m in a bit of a dilemma with grading and wanted to get some proper opinions from people who’ve been in the game longer than me.

I’ve always defaulted to PSA for my NBA cards, mainly because the resale market tends to favour them and a PSA 10 is basically the hobby’s gold standard. But with PSA stopping the value grading + the size of the backlog, I’m starting to wonder whether it’s actually worth sticking it out or just switching over to Beckett instead.

Beckett slabs look fine to me, the subgrades are useful, and I think the company is more than legit. But the market premium isn’t always there, and I’m not sure if I’d be shooting myself in the foot long‑term, especially for rookies and modern stuff where PSA tends to dominate.

Basically:

Do I wait for PSA and hope the value upside justifies the wait, or do I pivot to Beckett for quicker returns and nicer slabs.

Would love to hear what others are doing sticking with PSA, moving to Beckett, or even going the SGC route.

Thanks evryone!
