Flipkart has failed me twice on two premium orders. Is this normal now?

Delivery issue

I honestly don't know whether to laugh or be frustrated anymore.

A few months ago, I ordered a PlayStation 5 from Flipkart. It turned into a 5-day nightmare involving delayed delivery, scripted customer support, ignored calls from the delivery executive and multiple escalations to the Grievance Officer before I finally received it.

I assumed it was just bad luck.

Fast forward to this week.

I ordered an OPPO Find X9 Ultra on 20 June, with a promised delivery date of 22 June.

Here's what happened.

22 June
Stayed home the entire day.
No delivery.
No explanation.

23 June
The order was marked Out for Delivery.
I stayed home again.
Called the delivery executive several times. No response.
Customer support also struggled to contact him.
When he finally answered, I was told another delivery executive would come because my order involved an exchange.
Customer support assured me it would definitely be delivered on 24 June.

24 June
Stayed home yet again.
No delivery.
Tracking status barely changed.
No communication from Flipkart.

25 June
Customer support informed me the phone had only just reached the Patancheru Hub and would not be delivered that day either.

I asked a simple question:

"If the phone is already at the nearest hub, can I come and collect it myself?"

Answer:

"No."

Apparently, customers aren't allowed to collect their own orders and are instead expected to wait another 24 hours.

So I've now spent four consecutive days waiting at home for a ₹1.4 lakh phone while receiving nothing but scripted responses.

The most frustrating part isn't even the delay.

It's the complete lack of accountability.

  • Delivery executives don't answer calls.
  • Customer support repeats the same script every time.
  • Nobody knows where the order actually is.
  • Nobody can provide a realistic delivery timeline.
  • Nobody is empowered to solve the problem.

This is also the second premium order where I've had to escalate to Flipkart's Grievance Officer for almost the exact same issue.

At this point, it no longer feels like bad luck—it feels like a systemic problem.

I've now escalated this to the Grievance Officer again and will be filing a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline if it isn't resolved immediately.

Has anyone else experienced repeated delivery failures like this with Flipkart, especially for expensive orders? I'm genuinely curious whether this is becoming common or if I've just been unbelievably unlucky.
