M-Arch + M-Teach career advice?

Advice

Hey guys,
I live in Australia and finished a masters degree in architecture at the end of last year. After an absolutely brutal job search, some advice and self-searching I started a 1-year Master of teaching degree, realising that this is a career that (I think) I would enjoy and know I’d be good in.
Teachers generally get paid quite well here and there is plenty of opportunity for work, particularly with my STEM background.

My issue these last few months has been this: Even though teaching seems to be a great combination of things I’d enjoy doing while being qualified and good at it, I’m dreading the thought of capping my income in the way teachers are capped. I’m a very hard worker and value steady improvement but with a teachers salary being so capped, I’m worried I lose some fulfilment from the job (I know teachers don’t teach only because of money but it would certainly be a factor for me as someone who has always been fairly ambitious and driven to succeed).

While I’m still young is it worth pursuing other careers now or should I go into teaching and accept what would likely be a stable middle class life? What opportunities might I be able to pivot in to if I do decide to push for a higher/ less capped income?

I’ve been looking at ways I can leverage my architecture background and even interviewed for a few roles (like rural poverty valuation, electrical sales , insurance broking etc.) But I’m unsure if these are worth putting teaching on hold to try out?

Any thoughts or insight would be amazing! Just been overwhelmed lately and unsure what to aim for.
