The Lure of Overtrading: How Fear and Greed Blather Our Capital (My Experience)

I completely agree with this observation. Whenever I take my first trade of the day based on my strategy, it often gives a solid profit of around ₹1.5k to ₹2k per lot in Sensex.
But right after that, my mind starts playing tricks. A voice inside whispers, "This profit is too low, find another setup." So, I enter again, get scared, and book just a tiny 10-point gain. Still feeling unsatisfied and wanting more money, I over-analyze the charts and force another entry.
And then, it happens. A single, massive candle completely blows up my entire day's profits along with my capital. This has happened to me way too many times.
What I have learned from this painful cycle is that our minds are constantly running two opposing forces: Fear and Greed. If we follow them, they will always take us to the wrong destination.
To survive this game in the long run, we must build absolute psychological resistance against our impulses. Without consistency, patience, and strict discipline, we will eventually go completely broke.
