GTA 6 physical (PS5/Xbox) delivery dates across US retailers

Quick rundown for anyone deciding where to grab the physical (code-in-box) Standard edition. The box is a download code, no disc, and Rockstar made the boxes available to retail starting Nov 12 so you can redeem and preload ahead of the Nov 19 launch.

The catch: most retailers keyed their delivery to the Nov 19 release date instead of the Nov 12 window.

Ranked by how fast you'd physically have the box (based on listings on launch night, varies by zip, all estimates not guarantees):

  1. Walmart: arrives by Nov 12. The only one delivering inside the preload window.
  2. Amazon: Nov 19 delivery. (PS5 listing also went "currently unavailable" at one point.)
  3. Target: Nov 19 delivery. Their description mentions Nov 12, but only as what the code supports, the actual shipping estimate is Nov 19.
  4. Best Buy: in-store pickup on Nov 19 (launch day), or delivery "on or shortly after" Nov 19.
  5. GameStop: "ships on or shortly after 11/19" + 2-3 business day transit, so realistically ~Nov 20-24.

So Walmart stands alone on getting you the box early enough to preload. Everyone else is shipping for launch day or later. GameStop is actually the slowest since it ships after the 19th and then adds transit time.

Worth noting this looks like a listing/config choice, not a hard limit. There's no physical reason the others couldn't ship for Nov 12, they just left their systems on the standard "deliver for release date" setting. Some of these dates may update closer to launch, so this is a snapshot, not final.

Other notes:

- Preorder bonus (Vintage Vice City Pack) is the same across all retailers as long as you order before Nov 20.

- If preloading matters most to you and you don't care about the box, digital on PS/Xbox is the guaranteed path (preload opens Nov 12), and digital store preorders also include a free month of GTA+.

If anyone's seeing different dates for their zip, drop them below and I'll add them.
