Has ram and storage prices completely killed the second hand repair PC market a bit?
Me and my coworker run a charity where we sell very discounted PC’s to underprivileged people.
Back then you could get a semi broken PC, change the ram or swap a motherboard, put in a new SSD. Then you could sell it.
Nowadays, I’ve noticed that many companies are stripping the SSD and ram from computers just to leave a husk of a machine.
JUST to get the RAM and SSD is costing us 300 bucks , 400 bucks. It’s just not feasible for us anymore.
