sparking power cord

i just plugged in the xbox to a power strip and soon as i did it sparked at the power port on the xbox and i immediately unplugged it. i smelled a burnt plastic smell and tried to plug it into another outlet. did i fuck my power supply ? what are possible solutions, i have 0 zero soldering experience so that’s just not an option for me.
