Rate my "faux bougie" setup!

Build/Battlestation

And by "faux bougie" I mean something that is basically a mix of things that are cheap and more expensive all in the same setup, that include used items and things you bought a long time ago that you never changed.

For example, those two vertical monitors on the side are actually just super cheap HP VH240a 1080p monitors I got used, not gaming panels or anything just some standard monitors that went for $100 or less at the time. I've had them for nearly a decade and never cared to upgrade them because I just use one for discord p much permanently and the other for any other fullscreen app. The center monitor is a Samsung 4K 60hz VA panel that my dad had bought from costco on sale, he needed it for his remote work but upgraded to a dual monitor setup, and I ended up getting to have it.

Same thing with the keyboard, which is a CoolerMaster Masterkeys Pro L I got for Christmas a decade ago, which has just never failed on me so I've never cared to upgrade. The Audio interface on the left side is in the same camp too. Got it 6+ years ago and never bothered to upgrade. And the mouse is also a pre-owned MX Master 3 I got on Ebay for 60 bucks.

The MIDI keyboard I bought when we (in the USA) were getting those $1400 COVID stimulus checks back in 2021. I bought the speakers during that same time too, and the iPad + headphones you can just see above.

And as for where I have everything placed, my bed is actually above it all because it's a bunk desk. My PC is off to the side, on a little platform to keep elevated from the carpet. It's the same chassis I've had since 2014, which was a graduation present, and I've just been slowly upgrading everything inside it since then. Right now it has a used 3070 Ventus 3X OC, 32gb ddr4 ram and a i7 10900k (Ebay + FB marketplace purchases ofc), with a lot of internal 1TB WD Blue SSD's i've bought over the years (when they used to be cheaper...)

The mic however is a recent purchase that is more expensive but because I make music as sort of a hobby that I ultimately want to be more than that, I decided to get a good one (UAD SC-1 Standard Condenser) The Maschine Mikro on the right is also used from Ebay. One of the pads triggers randomly but with some contact cleaner and opening it up I've been able to fix it somewhat. And directly under the main monitor to the left is a used Universal Audio Arrow thunderbolt 3 audio interface, which I use for my music production, again purchased off ebay for about $275 at the time which was 3 years ago. I ended up needing to buy a thunderbolt 3 PCI card for it because my old Z490a-pro mobo doesn't have thunderbolt, but it was worth it IMO.

Fun fact: the keyboard is actually on a slide-out tray that my dad and I built and essentially bolted onto the bunk desk. It's just some home depot wood and steel support brackets to keep it holding its weight, and it's spray painted and coated black so it actually looks like it's part of the bunk desk. Had it since 2021 and it's held on since then!
