iPhone 16 pro Water detection keeps popping up
Hi everyone,
yesterday morning, my girlfriend got a notification saying there was liquid in her charging port. She went to the pool later in the afternoon, but she claims the phone didn't come into contact with any water. In the evening, the phone apparently wouldn't charge, and this morning she got the liquid detection warning again.
For now, she's charging it via MagSafe to help the phone warm up a bit so any potential moisture in the port can dry out. I also told her not to use the cables she tried charging with. I think there is probability that moisture got into the port somehow, either yesterday morning or at the pool or maybe even repeatedly. But I am also not sure how reliable the moisture sensor is.
Does anyone have any other ideas about what is going on?
