Age verification selfie not working

Anyone with an old iphone (6s) managed to get the age verification selfie to work? I've been trying FOR WEEKS but it keeps asking me to center my face and then it doesn't work. I'm really well lit and centered, i don't know wtf it wants. it's unberable that they can enforce this crap but can't make it work!!!!!
