I (f22) fell in love with my brother’s friend (m28), whom I have only personally known for 4 days and I don’t know what to do.
Me, my brother, and my cousin went on a short week-long trip around Europe to visit our relatives and their friends in two different countries (+ for me, it’s continuing into a second week at my cousin's place in a third country, while they are already back home).
Once upon a time, my brother told me, "I have a friend, N, you would definitely like him." I checked his Insta and said, "Nah, not my type."
And now, we’ve finally met in person… I have never experienced anything like this when it comes to love. Literally a brief interaction, and he is already the most important person in the room.
I tried to flirt, but I'm only average at it. I think everyone figured out that I liked him. Talking to each other was super easy and pleasant, even when we were left completely alone.
When we parted ways, I called my cousin and told him about my feelings, to which he replied, "N is great, he doesn't care about looks, but you live in different countries, so nothing will come of it."
However, a friend convinced me to message the man of the hour directly. And here is the entirety of this delightful "dialogue":
Me: Hi. I just really wanted to say that I haven't been this interested in talking with someone in a long time, and I would be strongly in favor of us continuing this conversation for a bit.
N.: Hey) To be honest, I'm not really into texting in general. Since we already know each other, I'm sure we'll run into each other again)
Me: Okay :)
This isn't my first love, but I feel like climbing the walls from this mix of emotions. What do you think, is there zero chance?
Like, I'm not talking about long-distance relationships. I'm just saying that if we'd talked for a while, we could have decided something, but in the current situation, we just have to wait until the next trip in a year...
