๐ ESPTimeCast v1.9.0 - Configurable Physical Buttons
ESPTimeCast now supports up to four configurable physical buttons on both ESP8266 and ESP32 devices.
Buttons can be assigned to any available GPIO pin and configured independently with short press and long press actions. Supported actions include mode navigation, brightness control, display settings, countdown controls, timers, stopwatch functions, and more.
Highlights
* Support for up to 4 physical buttons
* Independent short press and long press actions
* Configuration stored in config.json
* Changes apply immediately without requiring a reboot
* Automatic GPIO conflict detection
* Duplicate button pins are prevented automatically
Improved Web UI
The button configuration page has been redesigned to make setup simpler:
* Button 1 is always visible
* Additional buttons can be added progressively
* Removing a configured button automatically updates and saves the device configuration
Notes:
Buttons use INPUT_PULLUP mode and should be wired between the selected GPIO pin and GND.
ESP8266 users should avoid boot-sensitive pins and use GPIOs that support pull-up operation, such as GPIO4 (D2) and GPIO5 (D1), when available.
