*Office Romance* is exactly the kind of movie you put on when you want something cute, messy, and low-stress..but still a little grown. The setup is simple: workplace rules, secret feelings, people pretending they’re being professional when they are absolutely not. It has that “this could’ve been avoided with one honest conversation and maybe an HR training video” energy, which makes it fun in a very familiar rom-com way.

The good: Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are a fun pairing because they bring two completely different energies, and that contrast helps the movie feel playful. The workplace setting gives the romance enough tension without making it too heavy, and the supporting cast adds some extra personality. It works best when it leans into the awkwardness of grown adults trying to act normal while clearly making terrible emotional decisions.

The bad: it may feel predictable if you’ve watched a lot of rom-coms, because you can kind of see where things are going. Some jokes might not hit for everyone, and the office romance trope is only as strong as the chemistry and writing behind it. But overall, it’s an easy, cute watch if you want flirting, chaos, bad decisions, and a little “please don’t let payroll find out” drama.
