DC 311 Bulk Pick-up Time Limitations?

Hi folks,

I am moving out of DC, and have a like-new full-sized mattress I am trying to get rid of (I do not feel comfortable driving in DC and would not like to drive it to a dump).

I live in a rowhome so I can schedule a DC 311 bulk item pick up, but the issue is that the earliest pick-up date is 07/08 and I vacate the rowhome on 06/30.

Would there be any issues with leaving the mattress on the sidewalk for 8 days? Should I just hire a junk removal company?

(If anyone wants to come pick up a free full-sized mattress, let me know...)
