Concept of the show

So I am starting this show and only watched the first like 10 mins of the show.

I am not fully sure if i buy the concept of the show. There’re 2 reasons for that.

REASON 1
I also somewhat believe that mostly age doesn’t matter and true love/connection should not care about that, but that is precisely why I cannot understand the concept of the show. If according to you, something is not a big deal, then wouldn’t it make more sense to tell that? I mean if it really is just a number then why not tell it? The hosts said that they knew about each other’s ages and they chose to ignore that. If there’s something you cannot look past at the start of your relationship, how would you hope to make it work later?

REASON 2
For the most part you can guess someone’s age by looking at them. Like yeah if they’re only 4-5 years older/younger, i get that. But if someone is 15-20 years older, you can tell. The show says it’s taking contestants from 22 to 60. That’s like 40 years difference. I have never seen a 60 year old that looks 22.

What do you all think about that?
