Why do I keep having bad highs?
As the title suggests, I keep having bad highs pretty much every time I smoke. When I first started smoking around the beginning of January it was amazing as it usually is for everyone. I started smoking about every night and all was well. Fast forward to around the end of February, I hotboxed my car after a long day of work, I know all of you can relate. When I was done I put the J out to save it for later and went in the house. As soon as I get in my room I start TRIPPING. Every sound becomes more pronounced, my FoV decreased a shit ton and everything became zoomed in. I no longer had peripheral vision nor could I properly perceive depth. I then walked in the living room and my entire vision just started to stretch and I became really light headed. It got a little worse but I’ll spare you the details, just imagine your own personal worst experience lol. After that I became much more cautious around weed. I took a much needed break and ever since, I’ve only smoked a handful of times. Whenever I do it’s only a few hits. Almost every high since then has been overwhelming on my senses to say the least. I’d be very hyper aware of every sound and every visual, never chilled and mellow like I used to be. I’ve stepped away from weed for weeks at a time, a month as my longest break, and came back lightly every time to ensure I wouldn’t overdo it, but I’ve yet to have a truly chill experience like I used to. Does anyone have any ideas? It doesn’t sound like my tolerance is simply higher. My mind and body just react to it differently now for whatever reason. I feel like part of it is me having anxiety around having that horrible experience replicated. Even when I cast that feeling aside by having someone trusted with me, my senses still get overwhelmed by the effects. I have no problem with stepping away from the herb entirely since I haven’t been partaking for long, I just really miss the calm it used to give me.
