I got tired of every AI video tool requiring you to upload your footage to their servers, pay per minute, and still get mediocre results. Builded my own AI clipping tool that runs fully local. No cloud. No API costs.

Hey everyone,

So I started building Airkut — an AI clipping tool that runs fully local. No cloud. No API costs. Your footage stays on your machine.

What it does:

— Takes any video (podcasts, football matches, interviews) and generates short vertical clips automatically

— Tracks the speaker's lips to find the perfect cut points — no mid-sentence chops

— Removes silences and dead air to keep the rhythm tight

— Burns subtitles in 7+ languages automatically

— Runs entirely on local models — offline, private, yours

Still early days — pre-seed, building in public.

Curious what local models you'd recommend for something like this, and whether privacy-first video editing is something you'd actually use or pay for. Honest feedback welcome.
