The Boring $4 Billion Company Inside AI's Water Layer

Mental Models

The Boring $4 Billion Company Inside AI's Water Layer.

As promised u/spaamzzz, here's the boring moat model from the water-stress ecosystem.

Badger Meter. I've been waiting for this confluence for almost three years.

This is the one name that gives me everything I'd otherwise go hunting for in India, and then some. You get the data centre buildout, the water stress that buildout creates, cloud and software lock-in, a flow technology that lives inside the racks controlling the liquid cooling, and underneath everything, the water stress of the entire municipal ecosystem.

And at 30x on a 4-billion market cap, with the currency depreciation working in my favour on top, the future odds are tilting my way.

I am not going to hand you the full thesis in one post. Go do the work. Pull it apart, run it through your own framework, run it through your AI tools if you want, and drop what you find in the comments. I will follow up with the deeper breakdown and the mental models behind it.

That will be a much better way for everyone in the community to brainstorm, understand, and map the thesis.

A note: I'm still tracking this and have no allocation right now. The thesis is built, but I'm waiting for better odds in my favour based on the Phoenix and Dragon framework.
