Demonic Sorcerer

Was getting my thoughts together for the UA response today, and I honestly don't know how I feel about the sorcerer. My initial response was going to be yellow. Mechanically, nothing here except the capstone is beyond salvage in my opinion. Several parts need buffs, but no part feels like it would be bad in play. However the more I sat and wrote ideas on what to say down, the more I began to wonder, is this really what a demonic sorcerer should look like? When I picture a demonic sorcerer, I either picture a claw based gish, or some type of demonic summoner like a warlock in WoW. Not someone who summons abyssal themed environmental effects. (Yes I know at higher level they can summon a demon but I'm talking core mechanics.) So my question for the community, in your opinion is the environmental effects theme demonic enough, or should we hold out for something better?
