I need some help or advice
My partner suffers with Anxiety and MDD and normally gets into these spiral after his had a seizure.
It happens about every four or so months, and it normally lasts about 3 weeks. I’m normally able to help as much as I can, and you know we’ve been through worse than what his currently going through, but it hurts me so much to see him going through this.
His paranoia is through the roof, his mind if overthinking everything, even things that have literally ever even been a possibility of happening. He’s a normal 21 year old, he doesn’t smoke weed, barely drinks besides the occasional cider if we see friends. But he’ll have thoughts like he’s scared his company is going through his phone through the charger cable that’s connected to the work laptop? Or he’s been afraid that I was going to sue him, this came out of no where I had just finished dinner and was watching anime with him when he suddenly asked me if I was going to sue him. He gets extremely anxious at work as well, telling me he feels like he’s being watched, feels like someone’s going to kill him or that the police are going to lock him up.
Keep in mind he’s such a happy person, no enemies, always helping people out where he can, like he’s loaned half of his co workers money for literally anything and everything just because he wants to make people happy. But then he gets into these headspace’s where he sometimes can get as far a suicidal. I’ve tried to help, we don’t have money for therapy because we’re both trying to pay off loans he’s taken out and we just moved into a new place together and have had to spend most of our money on furniture and things.
How can I as a spouse help him feel safe and maybe help him feel more calm in situations where his anxiety and paranoia is through the roof?
