The Reasons Why Players Leave
Lots of Redditors are convinced the game is dying — enough to constantly post steam charts.
I’m not convinced it’s “dying”, but I also do not think the game is in a good place.
I was a die-hard Arc Raiders player — but just 3 raids in a row made me uninstall.
Last week, I saw a rare Night Raid on Spaceport. I spawned in at 17 mins, 3 times in a row, always on the opposite side of the map from the available exfils. Everything already looted. Had to waste time checking already looted locations and then running across the map to extract with… nothing but my 100k loadout that was wasted.
It was an absolute waste of my time and it made me realize how many un-fun features exist in this game that Embark refuses to change. Item management sucks, you can’t save loadouts, arbitrary item stacking, meaningless time-wasting things, terrible map condition rotations.
The list goes on and many people have made posts about all the things Embark is neglecting.
I enjoyed the game and got my money’s worth, and I would like to keep playing. But there are too many meaningless time-wasting things, too many poor decisions re: map rotations, items, etc, for me to continue playing.
I’m sticking around in the hopes that things improve, maybe in October.
For the players that stopped playing — what made you change your mind?
What are the reasons that players are leaving?
