I am so irritated rn GNG

20 m here seeking help from you guys.I have a friend who’s basically my best friend from school. Because of him, I even changed my job and moved away from my hometown to the city where he works so we could spend more time together and have some fun.

But after I got here, everything turned upside down. This guy spent a huge amount of money on a girl who was already in a relationship for six months. Things ended badly, and now he's completely heartbroken.

When I found out how much he spent on her, I was shocked. He has probably spent only 20% of that amount on me over all these years of friendship. It genuinely made me feel sad.

The problem is that he asked me not to tell anyone, so I’m stuck dealing with this alone. He's literally crying in front of me, and I'm tired of explaining that this girl isn't good for him. The worst part is that something similar has happened to him three times already.

What should I do? How can I help him move on when he refuses to learn from his past experiences? I really need some advice.
