New: Work with Dropbox content across Claude, Claude Cowork, and Claude Code

Announcement

Hey r/DropboxOfficial!

We’re introducing Dropbox integrations across Claude, Claude Cowork, and Claude Code so you can use Dropbox content inside Claude workflows and save work back to files and projects your team already uses.

Here’s what’s new:

Claude + Dropbox

With the Dropbox Connector for Claude, you can find, search, preview, and share Dropbox docs, then save AI-generated content directly back to Dropbox.

That can be useful when you’re prepping for a campaign, pulling together client project materials, looking for the right doc before a review meeting, or saving a draft so your team can keep working on it outside the conversation.

Claude Cowork + Dropbox

The Dropbox Plugin for Claude Cowork helps move from “find the thing” to “take the next step with the thing.”

Search Dropbox for relevant project folders, read supported files, summarize what matters, create folders, organize or copy content, generate share and download links, manage file requests, and create new text-based files such as CSVs, Markdown files, HTML files, and code files.

A few examples:

  • Create a handoff folder for an external partner
  • Pull the latest review materials into one place
  • Generate a shared link for a project folder
  • Create a file request so contributors can upload materials
  • Turn source material into a lightweight project doc or Markdown summary

Claude Code + Dropbox

For technical workflows, the Dropbox Plugin for Claude Code can use project files, documentation, and supporting materials as context while generating, updating, or reasoning through code.

That can be useful when the important context is spread across specs, technical docs, decision logs, project notes, or supporting files in Dropbox.

Instead of manually piecing that context together every time, you can work from the project materials your team already keeps in Dropbox.

Why we’re building this

The goal is to help work move from “Claude helped me get started” to “this is saved, organized, shareable, and ready for the team to keep using.”

A few notes:

Will you be using these integrations? If so, what do you think will have the biggest impact on your day to day workflows?
