I hate how Letterboxd turned watching films into homework — so I built a film diary that's a wall, not a feed

I built this because logging films always felt like homework to me — the ratings, the reviews, performing for a feed. it had me watching for the scoreboard instead of for myself. I just wanted something that quietly keeps the films I cared about.

so I made the opposite, on purpose:

  • you develop a film (the poster fades in like film developing) and it lands on a private wall
  • no ratings, no followers, no feed — that’s the point, not a missing feature
  • at year’s end the wall is just the films you kept. a keepsake, not a scoreboard.

it’s iOS, launching soon, and private by default — nothing’s public unless you choose to share a wall.

might be a problem only I have — genuinely tell me if so. and if “no ratings” sounds wrong to you, I’d like to hear why.
