If you get hit crossing the street you are at fault.

I believe if you get hit crossing a street youre at the very least equally at fault. Just like being rear ended is always the person in backs fault I believe crossing should be a defensive maneuver. You shouldnt cross until you've looked both ways and its impossible to be hit. Thinking you ever have the right of way over a car is a dead man's game.
