The influence of Air

Hello fam.

Thank you mods for creating a safe space for Venus Gems to talk amongst ourselves.

I am curious how ppl feel their Venus in Gemini influences their lives.

I am an awkward Steampunk (water/fire paradox).

Cancer (sun/moon/mars) with Leo (rising/mercury).

So I am extremely introverted by nature, but also impulsively jumping into the spotlight for no reason.

I didn't know much abt astrology until I started studying it seriously in the last year. Discovering my placements was the first time I felt like I could begin to understand why I am the way I am.

My Leo side makes me very good at stepping up and initiating things in public spaces, like making a post in a new subreddit, even when my crab side is screaming at me to just not.

But as someone with almost no Air placements (besides an Aquarius Jupiter), I genuinely feel like my Gemini Venus is what draws me into seeking interactions I would otherwise avoid.

I am basically a mute by nature, but when I'm around ppl who actually want to engage in stimulating conversation a switch flips for me and I automatically start talking and want to see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

ngl, a lot of ppl seem to retreat back to more shallow conversation pretty quick, and the struggle to not stay trapped on the surface can be real. Small talk can start to shut my brain off and sometimes make my skin crawl. So I feel like conversations with some ppl can feel like a search for depth that is rarely reciprocal.

But some ppl at least seem to connect easily and with Air-folk the shared curiosity we have seems to create a feedback loop that can sustain some really intense conversations even if we're starting off as strangers.

The other interesting thing I notice, is that I feel like my Venus Gem acts as a bridge in communication for me. Because if I'm speaking to peeps with water and Leo placements we definitely connect on some deeper personal lvl, but I feel like I get the motivation to communicate with them in the first place from the Air element. So it acts as a kind of doorway that lets ppl connect on a deeper lvl with me, because that door is always open. (I guess my crab claws can't seem to grip the handle with all the air blowing thru it.)

My Venus Gem also feels kind of like a radar at times. Like I'm constantly searching for a target to form a meaningful connection with that fully engages my brain.

I think I feel mentally attracted to Air ppl instantly. It's like my brain can detect them in a room and feeds off their energy. But I probably connect best with Vapors (water/air hybrids), because my emo nature cuts deep and it can be too heavy for folks with no water. (But I can relate to some degree in that area. As someone with zero Earth, I feel the pain of having an elemental deficit. My lack of structure in life is legitimately insane. I can be pure chaos at times.)

Anyway, that's what I've noticed abt my experiences with this placement. I'm curious to hear the experiences of others if anyone wants to share.

As a writer it's easy for me to spill my guts in random spaces, so I understand if my words don't connect, but I hope this subreddit can be a positive place for those of us who have a Venus that's desperate to communicate.
