Slicex not letting me assign regions to different mixer tracks

I've been trying to get better at slicing samples in SliceX but I'm having a weird issue where when I have the SliceX channel routed to a mixer track, say track 5. When i set the OUT to 1 for a region it should play in track 6 but it still plays through track 5. No change to the out will change what track it plays through. It's just stuck in the original SliceX routing.

I do have the right region selected in SliceX when I change the OUT value. No region will move. Am I missing something obvious? Do i need to switch something on for this to work?
