32 [M4F] looking to get out of my shell

Howdy. I’m from the southeast US and I love history, motorsports, music, reading, and hiking.

I play guitar and I have too many of them. It brings me a lot of joy. It’s therapeutic for me to learn some of my favorite songs and to use knowledge to write my own music.

My profession is industrial engineering, so I am really big on efficiency and continuous improvement not just at work, but in life.

I love humor. I really enjoy witty or just plain stupid humor.

I’m a big history buff. I’m currently reading on the nuclear arms race during the Cold War. We did some crazy things to say the least.

I love culture and languages. I speak elementary level German and can order food in Spanish. I’m currently learning some Japanese.

My daily driver is a Mazda MX-5 (Miata) because it’s has the philosophy of a lightweight British roadster with Japanese reliability, kaizen, and ergonomics. The best of both worlds in my humble opinion.

I love endurance racing. My brother and I are planning to go to the 24 at Daytona this upcoming year.

I literally look just like Buddy Holly. Same glasses and hairstyle. Nerds can be cool.
