Percentage based tips changing needs to end.
Just lost 10 dollars in percentage based tips due to the store not having enough of the requested quantity of an item my customer ordered.
How many dollars per year do shoppers lose out on to this? I imagine it has to be in the hundreds, if not thousands for the most dedicated full-time shoppers.
I know it can sometimes benefit you if a replacement is more expensive but if anything that just incentivizes shoppers to pick more expensive replacements.
It is absolutely ridiculous that it is an accepted aspect of this app. It needs to end. In a just world it’d be a massive lawsuit, as you are not being paid what you are first promised when accepting the order.
DoorDash doesn’t do this when you shop on their platform. Their earnings remain static from when you accept the offer. As far as I know, they even cover for lost/taken tips!
Instacart needs to step up. They are by far the worst when it comes to shopper experience. Their support is a whole other story as well.
The only thing Instacart has going for it at this point is flexibility and the ability to go online at any time without limitations, and none of the acceptance rate bs.
That doesn’t mean the other aspects of the platform have to be as shitty as they are
