Best pregame for Houston match days?

We’re heading to the Brazil-Japan match this coming Monday at noon, and wondering where to spend the morning before heading to the stadium. I’m thinking there isn’t much going on near the actual stadium, right? Will the festivities in EaDo be going on early enough in the morning (ie, 9 or 10am) and worth checking out? Will Brazil and Japan supporters be gathering in downtown at bars along the metro rail line? Looking for any suggestions to take advantage of the energy and vibe of a match day! Thanks!
