Building My Own Calm Classroom Music Instead of Using Playlists
I gave up on prebuilt playlists and started building my own calm classroom music from scratch.
The reason is simple, every premade calm classroom music track eventually had a song my students reacted to, so I switched to layering plain sounds I control. I combine a soft pink noise with a quiet forest layer and set the levels myself, so there is nothing for anyone to sing along to. It stays neutral and calm all year. Owning the mix means it never surprises me mid lesson.
A mix you build yourself never throws a curveball.
I use an app called Mindael because it has over a hundred real sounds I can layer and balance, then save as my own classroom mix. There is a premium Routine Builder that could auto start it each morning, but the free saved mix already does the job in Mindael.

Build your own neutral mix and you control the whole room, which is why I stick with Mindael. Do you build sounds or use playlists in class?
