

Codex, IMO, is unrivaled for coding-related tasks. It’s really good at refactors, understanding what you want, and actually implementing it.

But the moment you ask it to do anything UI/UX-related, or anything that needs a more critical or creative angle, it starts falling apart. Same with creative copywriting. GPT models inside Codex, at least in my experience, seem kind of incapable of that.

This might be intentional. I suspect the model being served through Codex runs at a much lower temperature, maybe something like 0.1, compared to the regular ChatGPT UI, so it’s more reliable for code but less useful for creative thinking.

So I used to manually go to Claude whenever I needed help rearranging things, improving user flow, reviewing UX/UI decisions, or planning something out. Then I’d paste Claude’s output back into Codex and let Codex implement it.

Because, in my experience, Claude is the opposite problem now. It’s great at vision, planning, and creative direction, but every major code edit it makes causes a thousand errors I have to fix later. Codex is just way better at actually touching the codebase.

So now I just let Codex talk to Claude whenever it needs a second opinion, especially for anything that requires creative judgment or critical thinking.

I love Codex , but it really lacks vision and taste. So i let Codex speak to Claude for creative tasks
