Stocking ideas for a 35L/10G?

I currently have an empty bladdersnail overrun tank, had a betta in it previously. I was thinking of putting a honey gourami pair in it along with some shrimp and a snail. But seeing as it's a small tank, I probably won't be able to fit anything else in there right? Could I get away with putting some Kuhli loaches in there as well? What about a small school of nanofish, rasboras or ember tetras for example, that would probably be too much right? I either have to choose between a school of fish or the gouramis, right? A pleco, maybe?

Wanted the color theme to be yellow this time, any other small cool fish that are yellow/orange (and easy to care for)? Red fish are also okay.
