10° GEN IN 2027, WHY?

What do you think? Will the tenth generation come out in 2027 because it’s a bigger game that simply needs more time to finish, or are they busy improving the graphics, textures, and so on? 
Or maybe it’s a bit of both—it’s possible that maintaining the quality seen in the trailer will actually require more time for technical development. 
While it’s hard to pin down an exact timeline for the creative phase, regarding technical production—knowing that DLC is developed alongside the base games and likely polished after the initial announcement, all while work continues on subsequent installments (excluding *Legends*, which is obviously developed by Game Freak but as a separate project)—it will likely take five years in total. 
As for whether there will be DLC, I don’t know; we’ll see what that looks like when it’s announced (I know, I know—there’s still ages to go, but I just love speculating about it).
