The Perfect Offseason imo
What would an ideal offseason look like for everyone?
If the Hawks could somehow pull off a trade for Jason Robertson, what would it realistically take? Would something like Florida’s 2027 1st, Toronto’s 2027 1st, our 2028 2nd, and Korchinski get Dallas interested? I’m not too keen on moving Nazar unless it’s absolutely unavoidable. What assets would you be willing to move to make a Robertson deal happen?
Other moves I’d love to see:
Trade for Jacob Trouba to add more veteran leadership, physicality, and playoff experience to the blue line.
Bring back AJ Greer. A Greer-Greenway line gives us the kind of size and toughness you need in the playoffs, similar to the identity Minnesota has built.
Find a proven backup/1B goalie. I don’t think Söderblom is the answer if we’re trying to become a legitimate playoff team.
Now for the unrealistic, optimistic Hawks fan in me…
Robertson – Bedard – DeBrincat
Frondell – Nazar – Kantserov
Teräväinen/Bertuzzi – Moore – Lardis
Greenway – Greene – Greer/Donato
For Debrincat I also wonder if we could package a couple of second-round picks and a prospect, or even reunite Arvid with his brother. Bertuzzi and Teräväinen have similar cap hits, so maybe one of them could be included as a sweetener to help balance the money.
Personally, I’d also be open to moving Donato, Teräväinen, and Söderblom if it helped bring in higher-end talent.
