Honestly one of my favorite episodes from season 4 and probably one of the most underrated in the series. This is basically a Rose episode featuring Juleka in all of the best ways. It really shows how much everyone in the class (minus Chloe) really care for Rose, especially after hearing about her condition from Juleka. And I gotta say I really appreciate Marinette and Adrien (and shortly after the rest of the classmates) came together to comfort and support Juleka going through this rough time.

Speaking of which, this was the episode where we learned about Rose’s condition. Okay we don’t know exactly what it is but knowing that she got something going on is more than enough. Rose is one of those characters where I didn’t think we would get deeper insight on, but this addition to her character is welcomed. Again, not that I need every character to go through something deep or complex just to get me to care about them, but I’m also not against the idea of them exploring those characters if they choose to.

Guiltrip as a sentibeing is a very interesting concept and kind of depressing as once you’re inside and consumed by bubbles, you’re basically in a despairing feeling. Like you’re at your lowest. Luckily this was the episode Pigella was introduced and I know some naysayers were making fun of the pig miraculous and saying how useless it is. To that I say: suck it! Because Pigella/Pig miraculous slander will not be tolerated. Not every miraculous is meant for combat and that’s what makes it stand out. Especially in the wrong hands, it could become very dangerous.

Anyway I really appreciate this episode and what it had to offer. Despite everything, Rose continues to be a positive bean that should be embraced more in the world 🌎.

What are your thoughts on Guiltrip? This is day 26 of Julerose June!
