discord app vc cuts me out, discord browser works perfect

hey, i was wondering if anyone had a similar problem or knew a fix for this.

whenever i use the discord app on my pc, during voice calls my friend often can't hear me at all or i sound glitchy. if i switch to the discord browser she says it works perfect and never cuts me out.

i've un/reinstalled discord app, updated it, and made sure my pc was updated too.

i'm not really sure what else to do. any help or advice is welcome, thank you.
