Mirage to Chrono differences

So, hopped back on GW2 after a 4 year hiatus as of a couple weeks ago, after shuffling through my old lvl 80s I couldn't help but fiend after a while to play my Mirage, which is also my very first character that didn't get all the love it deserves compared to my others. I got a build plan down, and got almost all the gear needed before moving toward ascended.

I updated my Mirage with a more modern build, went from staff/staff to staff/axe/torch, insanely fun and super powerful, but I wanted to sort of move forward to a power chrono eventually. I've looked around online, researched the skills, gear, etc. And for the life of me I can't really establish what exactly the big difference between Mirage and Chrono is, they both seem to be the same thing to me overall.

What exactly can you say is the difference between the 2 based on your experience and knowledge on the matter? I just really want to wrap my head around what I'm missing here.
