Father Patiently Gets Revenge

Can ya'll help me identify a movie scene (it may be a show). The movie takes place in the country, I think the mountains. It's kind of a flashback scene from the son's point of view. A few guys keep harassing a family whenever then encounter them in the woods. I think at some point they mess up some kind of prayer site or something. At any rate, the dad is very patient to a point. He keeps teaching his son not to jump in. Then when they finally had enough, the dad drives the son with him to like a gas station or random store. He finds the guys harassing his family then fights beats the crap out them while the son sits in the car. The father is not Jason Statham btw. Been driving me crazy for days trying to find the scene.
