How to help striking Embassy Suites workers

Hi there – I work with UNITE HERE, the hotel workers union. As you may have seen, we are currently on strike at the Embassy Suites Seattle Pioneer Square, next to Lumen Field/Seattle Stadium. It’s day 9, and workers will stay out until we win fair raises, year-round healthcare, a return to pre-covid staffing levels, and protections from ICE.

We’ve had a lot of support from football fans at each match, but community members have been asking us for weeks how they can help push back against corporate greed and ICE in our city. There are a few things you can do:

• Call the Embassy Suites General Manager, Mike Andring at 206-859-4410 to demand a fair contract for the workers.
• Donate to our strike fund - you can find it on our social media.
• If you’re out near Pioneer Square, come say hi and walk the line with us!
