Does Verina need Variation at s2?

Based on my own experience, verina doesnt really need variation at s0 unless she misses some attacks because she has to BA to gain a stack of forte even if she has variation, but does s2 verina need variation? Also i dont know how much 8 concerto energy is, does anyone know the amount of concerto energy needed for outro (i.e. full concerto bar)?
